The Toyota Pre-Collision System Explained

The Toyota Pre-Collision system works as part of the Toyota Safety Sense™ (TSS) safety suite. It uses a front-facing camera and a laser to monitor other vehicles in your path on your daily commute to La Jolla. These are the details of the Pre-Collision system:

• The Pre-Collision System includes a front-facing camera and an invisible laser to help monitor the distance between your Toyota and the vehicle ahead of it.
• While monitoring your distance, the Pre-collision system measures your current speed to determine if you are approaching the object or vehicle ahead too quickly.
• If a collision is likely, the system will immediately alert you with audible and visual warning signals, encouraging you to apply your brakes and slow down.
